I have a passion for outdoor photography, particularly photographing animals in our beautiful countryside. Whether it is wild animals, or pets, I try to capture the personality of the animal, and something of the moment the shot was taken.
I’ve learnt from some great wildlife photographers over the past few years and I do my best to take pictures without stressing my subjects – the best moments are when you take some photos and leave quietly without them even knowing you’re there! It allows me to capture some species and behaviours that not many folk get to see, and hopefully some of the special moments I’ve experienced are communicated through my images. I hope you enjoy looking at them.
I love photographing pets, particularly dogs, in the great outdoors, where they can exhibit their natural behaviours and provide lots of opportunities for portrait and action shots.
I’ve been lucky enough to have some images shortlisted in the British Wildlife Photographer of the Year Awards:
- 2 images in 2013
- This image of a pine marten mum was shortlisted in the 2017 Awards competition:
- In 2015 another pine marten image was shortlisted in the Nature Photography Awards run by the Scottish Seabird Centre.
Most images are available for purchase, details under Photo Gallery. Please contact me if you are interested in any images that do not have size and price information associated with them.
I sell mounted prints via this website but you can also see my work at various markets and fairs throughout the year. Information regarding these will be published under NEWS. If you visit any of these events, please come up and say hello!
